Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. —Matthew 4:19

MPCS offers fishing as part of our athletics program for grades 8-12. Fishing at Mount Paran Christian is affiliated with Georgia B.A.S.S. Nation High School Fishing. Anglers may compete in tournaments held at various Georgia lake locations one Saturday per month through June. Practices are held at the MPCS campus lake or tournament lakes. Our sponsors include The Dugout Bait and Tackle, Wise Snacks, and St. Croix rods. In the team's inaugural year, almost all anglers qualified for state competition and included a first-place finish at Lake Eufaula, Alabama. Two fishermen were given the coveted title of "Georgia B.A.S.S. Nation Anglers of the Year" and were invited to participate in Bass University on the Outdoor channel this fall.

At Mount Paran Christian School, athletics are school-wide affairs, uniting the preschool, lower, middle, and high school with a common sense of belonging. Even our three-year-olds know they're Eagles from day one. Every student can find an area to connect within 52 teams representing 16 different sports beginning in the fifth grade. Aside from repeat state championships and stiff GHSA/Metro 10 competition, student-athletes are also given every opportunity to excel in the classroom with small teacher-student ratios and rigorous course loads. More than 50 AP and honors classes are offered in addition to STEAM, a gifted program, instructional support programs, robotics, exploratories, and a 1:1 device program. And to top it off, our athletes serve every day as role models to younger students through Christian Life mentor programs and discipleship groups.
